This article provides updates, income qualification thresholds and FAQs on previously approved and proposed stimulus checks, also known as Economic Impact payments.
While multiple rounds of payments have been made over the last two years, many are asking if the government will make another (4th round) of payments to help folks cope with high inflation and the rising costs of basic goods and services.
Each round of stimulus “check” payments had slightly different rules (and payment constraints) so please ensure you review each payment round separately. Click the links below to jump to the relevant stimulus payment.
If you have not received one or more of your stimulus payments, then you will need to claim this as a recovery rebate via your tax filing for the relevant year. This include retroactive stimulus check payments.

$1200 Stimulus Check (Working Family Tax Credit) in 2023 for Low Income Families
With another stimulus check for the masses unlikely in the year ahead, there have been reports of more targeted and state specific stimulus checks to help those facing mounting financial pressures, including many working families.
This includes a $1200 working families payment by the Washington’s Department of Revenue (WDR). The stimulus payment would be in the form of a tax credit that could help up to 400,000 low-income working households in the states.
Eligibility will be based on income as reported for the federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and qualifying household dependents. Single person households would get up to $300, with families getting up to $1,200. The minimum amount based on income of eligible children is $50.
Applications for this state tax credit opens from February 1, 2023. While it is currently offered for Washington residents, it may be rolled out in other states if successful in helping targeted households.

More Stimulus Payments in 2023?
President Biden and the Democrat controlled Congress recently passed two major spending bills – $1.7 trillion omnibus government funding bill and a scaled down Build Build Better (BBB) act, known as the Inflation Reduction Act (H.R. 5376).
While each piece of legislation included funding for several groups it did not include another stimulus check or economic impact payment in 2023. Further, neither bill contained funding to extend the pandemic Child Credit Credit (CTC) or emergency SNAP allotments.
While many individuals and families could have benefited from some form of government support, especially with higher interest rates, there simply was not enough political support for further payments or tax credit expansions that could spur further inflation.
There was however some relief for medicare recipients and record raises for those on the federal GS pay scale and Military pay charts, thanks to the record 2023 COLA increase.
A Fourth Stimulus Check to Deal With Inflation Pressures?
There has plenty of talk of a fourth stimulus check in 2022, originally as a relief payment in Biden’s build Back Better Bill (BBB) and now as a way to offset higher costs many consumers are seeing due to record inflation.
However progress on a 4th stimulus check has stalled in Congress due to lack of agreement among Democrats and Republicans and what they can sell to their constituents ahead of the upcoming mid-term elections.
Gas Stimulus? With rising gas prices, many states are providing gas tax holidays which save drivers a few cents at the pump. Some states and even Congress are also considering a gas relief stimulus check which will pay families up to $400 p/month through 2022.
With the economy rebounding strongly, higher inflation and unemployment claims falling, it was hard for most Democrats in Congress to justify spending billions of dollars on even more stimulus payments.
Some states like California however, are making state specific stimulus payments to provide inflation relief for lower income workers which may be replicated in other (Democrat leaning) states.
These are being done via additional tax rebates and immediate payment for lower income workers who filed a recent tax return.
There is also the expanded monthly Child Tax Credit (CTC) stimulus payment for families who have qualifying dependents. While this is not technically a fourth dependent stimulus and rather more of an advanced tax credit (against your 2021 tax return) it will act like a stimulus payment because it is being paid directly by the IRS to nearly 70 million dependents and their families.
The IRS has also completed making millions of plus-up or catch-up stimulus payments to those who have filed a recent tax returns.
Based on these filings (which are separate to 2021 refund payments) the IRS reviewed earlier stimulus payments’ eligibility and if they found underpaid or missed payments – mainly due to a change in income or missing dependents – they then issued these supplementary payments.
All plus-up and catch-up payments for past credits has now completed. You will need to claim them via filing a tax return.
As discussed in this article, be careful how you account for past payments to avoid facing extended refund payment delays.
Third Stimulus Check Under Biden COVID Relief Package
Under the now passed $1.9 Trillion Biden COVID Relief Package (American Rescue Plan, ARP) there are provisions included for another (third) round of stimulus checks. The amounts will be $2800 for couples, $1400 for single adults and $1400 for each eligible dependent per the final bill crafted by the Congressional Democrats.
Based on the income qualification levels, nearly 85 percent of American households would receive a full or partial stimulus payment under the Biden plan. A typical couple with two children making $100,000 annually would receiving about $5,600 with this third round of stimulus check payments.
The full payment will be made to singles filers making less than $75,000 and couples earning less than $150,000 in adjusted gross income (AGI). Phase out limits to get a partial stimulus payment are also shown in the table below. To get the dependent check you need to qualify for the adult stimulus payment, and the payment would be sent to the adult recipient claiming the dependent.
|2019 or 2020 Tax Filing Status||Income Below Which FULL Stimulus is Paid||Maximum Income To Qualify for Partial Stimulus|
|Single or Married filing separate||$75,000||$80,000|
|Head of household||$112,500||$120,000|
|Married filing jointly||$150,000||$160,000|
Expanding Dependent Eligibility
The latest round of stimulus checks will allow people to use the later of their 2019 or 2020 tax data (file your tax return via TurboTax) to ensure the latest dependent and payment information can be used. Further, the new legislation has expanded the dependent eligibility criteria to include college-aged and elderly dependents claimed on tax returns. While this means many dependents who missed out on earlier stimulus payments will get paid this time around, I expect payment issues and delays for dependents to repeat themselves.
The $1400 stimulus payment will considered as an advanced refundable credit against your 2021 taxes. You won’t have to pay taxes on it, but can also be claimed in your 2021 return as a recovery rebate credit if you don’t get it for some reason this year.
Should I hold off on filing my tax return?
It likely won’t make a difference in the longer term other than to update dependent or payment data, but the IRS will only use your 2020 tax return data to determine eligibility for this round of stimulus checks if they have processed your return (WMR refund state = refund sent). If your 2020 return has not been filed and processing, they will use 2019 tax data for payment.
If your 2020 return is filed and/or processed after the IRS sends you a third stimulus check, but before July 15, 2021 the IRS would send you a second payment or require a repayment for the difference between what your payment should have been if based on your 2020 return and the payment actually sent based on your 2019 return.
When Could Stimulus Payments Start?
Following approval of the bill on March 11th, millions of Americans will start seeing the third stimulus payments by mid-to-late March 2021 per the estimated IRS payment schedule and official Biden administration guidance. Comments below confirm these are going out now. You can also check the IRS Get May Payment (GMP) tool for the latest status of your payment. See payment FAQs from the second round of payments, which will also apply for the most part this time around.
Due to the fact that payments are going out in the middle of tax season it may be very hard to get a hold of someone in the IRS to help with payment issues and you will likely have to wait until after April 15th to follow up on issues.
New Debit Cards to be Issued for Third Round of Stimulus Checks
The new legislation includes provisions for those receiving payments by debit card. With this round of payments, new debit cards will be issued for the third/latest stimulus payments. The IRS cannot use the prior debit cards used for earlier stimulus payments.
Second $600 Stimulus Check Details
[Update Feb 16th, 2021 – Payment Status] While the CAA legislation, under which the stimulus payments were funded, required that the second round of payments be issued by Jan. 15, 2021, some second round Economic Impact Payments may still be in the mail and delivered by the end of February. The IRS however has confirmed has issued all first and second Economic Impact Payments it is legally permitted to issue, based on information on file for eligible people.
Get My Payment was last updated on Jan. 29, 2021, to reflect the final payments and will not update again for first or second Economic Impact Payments.
If you haven’t yet received your payment and GMP is not showing payment details then the IRS is recommending you claim this (and past missing payments if eligible) via a recovery rebate credit in your 2020 tax return that you will file this year. Major tax software providers have updated their software to allow tax payers to claim their missing first or second stimulus payment as a recovery rebate with their 2020 tax filing.
Under the COVID-related Tax Relief Act of 2020, the IRS has delivered more than 147 million EIPs (stimulus payments) totaling over $142 billion. Due to the lower income qualification thresholds and smaller payments this was lower than the 160 million payments ($270 billion) made via the first stimulus check.
President Biden also recently signed an Executive Order for the IRS to provide a new tool to claim missing stimulus checks and conduct more analysis to ensure those who were unable to get their first or second check are notified around their eligibility.
[December 29th, 2020] President Trump signed the $900 billion COVID relief stimulus package into law despite earlier objections and last minute demands to triple the size of the stimulus/economic relief payment. He eventually signed the COVID relief package due to Congressional and public pressure, not to mention the plight this would have placed millions of Americans into. The second round of stimulus checks however have been cut to $600 (singles) and $1200 (couples) versus the first round of economic impact payments of $1200 ($2400 for couples). This was done in order to keep the overall COVID relief bill price-tag to below $1 trillion to get passed through the Republican controlled Senate. The dependent stimulus check however was increased to $600 versus the $500 in the CARES stimulus package.
To be eligible for the full stimulus check payment eligible recipients will have to have earned less than $75,000 (150,000 couples). The stimulus check will fully phase out for singles with incomes below $87,000 and $174,000 for couples. Those earning above that amount will not be eligible for the stimulus check for themselves or their dependents. See the table below for the second stimulus check income thresholds (and earlier updates below for how this compares to first round of stimulus checks). Your second stimulus check qualifying income is based on your 2019 tax return for those who file a return. SSI and veterans will get this payment in the same way they got their first stimulus check.
Second Stimulus Check Income Thresholds
|2019 Tax Filing Status||Income Below Which FULL Stimulus is Paid||Maximum Income To Qualify for Partial Stimulus|
|Single or Married filing separate||$75,000||$87,000|
|Head of household||$112,500||$124,500|
|Married filing jointly||$150,000||$174,000|
When Will the New Stimulus Payments/Checks be made?
The IRS will be responsible for making these stimulus payment checks and Treasury Secretary Mnuchin, whose department oversees the IRS, said that payments go out within a week of the bill being formally approved.
This means payments could hit bank accounts before the end of the year. Payments would be made in multiple batches and if all goes according to plan the first round of payments would begin on 12/28 (subject to bank processing). Processing will go until January 15th for Direct Deposit payments. Checks and Debit Cards will take until the end of January 2020 to get processed. See more on the IRS Stimulus Check Payment Schedule.
The inclusion of the one-time stimulus payment however has also meant a cut in extra unemployment benefits that are also part of the overall package. More to come as the bill gets finalized and I will post updates. See this $600 stimulus update video for a quick summary as well.
Here are some questions and answers around this new stimulus payment:
If I didn’t file taxes in 2019/2020 will I receive the stimulus (non-filers)? Unlike the first stimulus payment where those who didn’t need to file a tax return could update the IRS’ non-filer tool, this time around due to the speed of roll-out of the second stimulus check and with tax season around the corner the IRS has said the non-filer tool is closed for updates.
The IRS will be using information they have as of Nov 21, 2020 or from your first stimulus check payment (if applicable). Otherwise they are encouraging you to the stimulus (known as a recovery rebate credit in tax terms) by filing a 2020 1040 or 1040-SR tax return. Free tax software programs can be used by people who are not normally required to file tax returns but are eligible to claim the credit.
How will I get paid? Like the first stimulus payment in 2020, the IRS will facilitate payment of these checks based on your 2019 tax information. You will also get the dependent stimulus payment for eligible dependents claimed on your tax return. For other groups who don’t file taxes the IRS will work with other government departments (e.g Social security agency for SSI recipients) or the Get My Payment tool. Direct deposit will still be the fastest way to get your payment.
How will I receive the payment in my bank account? If you’re eligible to receive a payment via direct deposit it will be deposited directly into the same account used when you filed your 2019 tax return and/or the account number used in the previous stimulus payment program. The payment will appear in your account summary as “IRS TREAS 310 XXTAXEIP2” or something similar. You can also check the IRS site for the latest status of your payment.
If you did not give the IRS your direct deposit account information through your federal tax return in the last two years, and have not provided the IRS with your information as a non-filer, you will likely receive a US Treasury check. The check will be mailed to the address on file at the IRS from the prior year tax return. It could take 5 to 6 weeks to get the check via mail.
Dependents in 2020? Households who added dependents in 2020 might not qualify for full payments immediately, since based on 2019 tax return information. But they can request additional money as part of the 2020 tax returns they will file in early 2021. See more in this articles for dependent qualification income thresholds.
Qualification Income thresholds changing? Income thresholds will stay in line with the original stimulus check levels, but the maximum limits have been lowered per the table above.
I heard the amount could be higher than $600? $600 is now the amount Democrats and Republicans have agreed to. While there are some members of Congress (including President Trump) wanted the full $1200 or higher $2000 payment, it would have made the overall stimulus package too expensive and unlikely to be approved by more conservative Republicans. However we may see a $2000 stimulus under the new Biden administration based on recent reports and I will post an update on that soon.
[Update following $908 billion proposed stimulus] Congress is back in session after a tough election cycle which enlarged the already wide chasm between Republicans and Democrats when it comes to agreeing on a new Coronavirus / COVID stimulus package. At this stage the main hope is that the lame-duck Congress (until January 2020) can approve an interim stimulus package ahead of a more comprehensive one during the Biden administration era.
The one major issue with this bipartisan stimulus proposal is that it does not include funding for another round of stimulus checks. However the $918 billion proposal (from Trump/Mnuchin shown below) does have a stimulus check payment! As you can see from the table below, which shows the various areas being funded like extended unemployment benefits and COVID vaccination distribution, there is no line item for economic impact payments (a.k.a stimulus checks). This was a nearly $300bn line item under the CARES act, so a significant funding item. By cutting this, the bipartisan group of senators were able to bring the price tag to below $1 Trillion. Unfortunately this means no $1200/$2400 stimulus check and $500 child stimulus payment to over 80 million Americans.
[Second Stimulus Check Update] Congressional leaders have agreed in principle that a second stimulus check will be paid in 2020, given the ongoing economic fallout from the COVID crisis. This CARES 2 economic impact payment (a.k.a stimulus check) will be part of the next stimulus package, which is still under review due to several other politically contentious items (like an extension of unemployment benefits). However another round of one-time stimulus check payments seems to be agreed upon by Republicans and Democrats, and the general consensus is for a $1200/$2400 payment in August.
Some proposals had the stimulus check as low as $600, all the way to a recurring $2,000 monthly payment! Income eligibility levels are also set to remain the same as the first stimulus check (detailed below) and based on 2019 or 2018 tax returns. Further another $500 child stimulus payment will also be made and will be expanded to cover those under 24 (versus under 17 in the first stimulus payment), so high school and college age dependents would be covered.
The stimulus payments are expected to be paid soon after the final stimulus package is approved by Congress and the White House. The first round of checks was plagued by problems as the IRS had to update systems, account for non-filers and work with several other agencies to verify payments. Luckily that is now in place so I expect the payments to be much more efficient this time around and hit most people’s bank accounts by late August.
For those waiting for their first round of stimulus payment, the IRS is still recommending these be claimed in their 2020 tax returns filed in 2021. This would also apply for those who don’t receive their second stimulus check.
First Stimulus Check (Economic Impact) Payment in 2020
[Updated June 2020] The $2.2 trillion dollar stimulus bill (CARES act) has now been signed into law. Under this bill there is the widely reported economic stimulus payment checks of $1,200 per adult and $2400 for couples. For families they would provide $500 for every eligible child. The full stimulus check would be made to those earning less than $75,000 ($150,000 for couples) and would phase out to zero for those earning more than $99,000 ($198,000 for couples). Head of household tax filers will get the full payment if they earned $112,500 or less.
In the phase out range (i.e. between $75,000 and $99,000 for singles) for every $100 you earn above the lower limit ($75,000) payment drops by $5 until you reach the maximum limit ($99,000).
Example (single) – If Brian made $67,000 last year based on his latest filed tax return, he would get the full $1200 payment. If he had made $90,000 he would only be eligible for $450 ($1200 – $750). If he had made $110,000 he wouldn’t be eligible at all.
|2019 or 2018 Filing Status||Income Below Which FULL Stimulus is Paid||Maximum Income To Qualify for Partial Stimulus|
|Single or married filing separate||$75,000||$99,000|
|Head of household||$112,500||$136,500|
|Married filing jointly||$150,000||$198,000|
Example (married) – My wife and I made $185000. We filed jointly. Are we eligible to get anything from the 2020 stimulus? Answer – You would be eligible to get $650.00 (partial amount) under the direct payment program. Up to $150,000, you get 100% of the $2,400 stimulus payment. Anything over 150,000, you would subtract 5% of the amount over $150,000. So in your scenario, 35k over 150k. 5% of 35k is $1750, So $2400- $1750=$650.00
In addition to the above income limits to qualify for the $1200 or $2400 Economic stimulus check (or economic impact payment per IRS), recipients must have a valid Social Security number and cannot be claimed as a dependent of another taxpayer,
Child or Dependent Qualification for the $500 payment?
Several readers have asked questions around the $500 child dependent additional stimulus payment. To get this payment you must have filed a 2018 or 2019 tax return and claimed the child as dependent AND the child must be younger than 17-years-old at the end of 2020. They must also be related to you by blood, marriage, or adoption (similar to the Child Tax Credit). There is no limit to the number of dependents who can qualify for the additional $500 in one household.
This age limit is much younger than what is used by the IRS in the qualifying child test where a child must be younger than 19 years old or be a “student” younger than 24 years old as of the end of the calendar year. Hence the confusion being caused by this. So just remember if your child or eligible dependent is 17 or over you cannot claim the stimulus payment for them.
College Kids and High School Seniors
The younger than 17 yr old requirement has ruled out several thousand college students and high school kids who are older than 17, but still being claimed as a dependent by their parents on their federal tax return.
However if you are a college student AND filed a recent tax return you can qualify for a standard/adult stimulus check per the above eligibility rules. But note as soon as you file a return you cannot be claimed as a dependent by others, which means they lose certain other tax benefits and credits.
What about on Social Security or SSDI (Disability)?
Social Security recipients, disability (SSDI), Survivor Beneficiaries and Railroad Retirees who are not otherwise required to file a tax return will also be eligible for the stimulus payments, as long as their total income does not exceed the eligibility income limits above. The IRS in conjunction with the Treasury and Social Security Administration announced that recipients of Supplemental Security Income (SSI) will automatically receive the $1200 Stimulus Check (formally called Economic Impact Payments). See details here. This group of recipients will receive the stimulus check the same way they currently get their federal benefits in early May with no further action needed on their part.
However note that because the IRS has no information regarding dependent data for this group of recipients, the $500 kid dependent stimulus payment would not be automatically paid to this group. They need to use the non-filers tool on the IRS website to claim this.
How will the Stimulus check payments be made?
[IRS Updates] – The IRS has confirmed that payments for most working Americans are expected to be calculated and deposited or mailed via check based on 2018 or 2019 federal tax filing payment details. Most people won’t need to take any action and the IRS will calculate and automatically send the economic stimulus payment to those eligible. The Treasury department, under which the IRS falls has also created a website/portal for those who are not required to file U.S. income taxes or who have to change payment information (e.g direct deposit information).
For those who have not yet filed their return for 2019, the IRS will use information from their 2018 tax filing to calculate the payment. The economic impact payment will be deposited directly into the same banking account reflected on the last valid return filed. So if your 2018 information is out of date or your income situation changed in 2019, make sure you file, even if you have no taxes due (start filing for free with TurboTax).
2020 Stimulus Check Payout Schedule
The IRS has confirmed that the distribution of economic impact payments (stimulus checks) has started and millions of Americans should have their stimulus check payment by now. Note that this will likely only apply to those receiving the payment via direct deposit (in line with how they get their tax refund or Social security check today). You can see the status of your stimulus check payment on the IRS Get My Payment portal.
- Direct Deposit payments will generally be deposited 2 to 3 days after the IRS confirms income eligibility for the payout.
- Physical checks will take at least 6 to 8 weeks to be mailed out.
Social Security Retirees and Disability recipients who are eligible for the payment will get the stimulus checks/payments deposited the same way they currently get their payments.
Given over 120 million Americans could be eligible for the payment, it will take a while to process the stimulus checks.
Stimulus Check Missing Payment Issues or Errors?
The IRS will also be mailing Stimulus Payment letters to each eligible recipient’s last known address 15 days after the payment is made. The letter will provide information on how the Payment was made and how to report any failure to receive the Payment. Note that the IRS or other government departments will not contact you about your stimulus check payment details either.
Why didn’t I get a stimulus check? Remember that the IRS has to have your direct deposit details, which is normally only provided if you received a 2018 or 2019 refund. If you file a return and they cannot use their portal to add direct deposit details, then your payment will come via check which could take several weeks. At this checks will likely start arriving at your IRS registered address from the end of April.
Finally you will also likely be able to claim any missing payments in your 2020 tax return as a tax credit. All this unfortunately will mean delays in getting your stimulus payment until issues are worked through.
How will child support arrears and payments be impacted with stimulus check?
I seem to be getting a lot of comments on this question around child support. The IRS has confirmed (see q21) that the stimulus check payment will NOT be offset or intercepted for those owe tax, have a payment agreement or owe other federal or state debts. It will however be OFFSET for past-due child support.
This is because a court order for child support continues until it is modified or terminated. Similarly with unemployment compensation stimulus increases, your child support may be withheld from the UI payments. You will get a notice from BFS if this happens.
Injured Spouse Claim and Spousal Claims
The IRS also stated that If you are married filing jointly and you filed an injured spouse claim with your 2019 tax return (or 2018 tax return if you haven’t filed your 2019 tax return), half of the total payment will be sent to each spouse and your spouse’s stimulus check payment will be offset only for past-due child support.
There is no need to file another injured spouse claim for the payment. I have received dozens of comments on this this, so hopefully this answers the questions many have had based on official IRS guidance.
Note that if you were current with your child support payments at the time of the stimulus eligibility determination (end of March) but fell behind afterwards due to a COVID-19 related job loss, you would still be eligible to get the full stimulus payment.
Updating Direct Deposit Information
This question has come up a lot in the hundreds of comments to this article. The IRS has setup a portal for individuals to provide their updated banking information to receive payments via direct deposit as opposed to checks in the mail.
The IRS does recommend that 2018 Filers who need to change their account information or mailing address, file 2019 taxes electronically as soon as possible. That is the only way to let us know your new information..
If your bank account details changed, was closed or no longer active (so payment is rejected by the bank) a check will be mailed to the address the IRS has have on file for you based on your most recent tax return or as updated through the United States Postal Service (USPS). You cannot call the IRS to update payment or address details at this point in time.
Do I have to pay taxes on my stimulus payment?
No. Since the stimulus check is considered a refundable tax credit, it is not classified as earned income. Hence not considered taxable income you will have to report in your 2020 tax return (filed in 2021). It also won’t affect your income for purposes of determining eligibility for federal government assistance or benefit programs.
This payment also does not have to be paid back if any over payment happens or your gross income in 2020 changes. This includes your income rising to above the qualifying thresholds. If you unexpectedly got the payment, congratulations! You get to keep it now.
Returning Incorrect Stimulus Check Payments
A few people have commented that a spouse, relative or child who died since they filed a 2018 or 2019 tax return received a stimulus check payment. The IRS has provided official guidance on this issue which states that any payments made to someone who died before receipt of the payment should be returned to the IRS in full.
The exception to this is for payments made to joint filers and one spouse who had not died before receipt of the Payment, in which case, you only need to return the portion of the Payment made on account of the decedent

Because there’s a lot of people out there on low income like me needs a lot of help. Because I really need help with my house getting fixed up and I don’t have any money to help me get it done.
I verified with a tax advocates officers in Washington DC and the secretary Janet Yellen. No one is getting a 4th stimulus payments package. Including those on ssi who are forced to live on a income of $841.00 per month. The IRS and treasury department went as far as to say that if you are 100% disabled and unable to work you may want to consider prayer. Due to being forced to live at 2.000% below the poverty line.
Are you serious?? How awful for them to say that!! I’m on disability as well and 100% can not work…

$1,000… for a 1 bed room… I would have loved to pay $1,000… I was paying $1,345 for a 1 bedroom apartment in Idaho!!!! Now I got a roommate and live in a 2 bedroom that costs $1,844 a month…when we were getting these checks I didn’t have any money issues and I was like sweet… Now I’m struggling and these half a meatballs don’t got nothing to help me from everything going up 200-300% while my wages went up 5%. I swear I couldn’t screw up an economy, my constituents, or a country as bad as these clowns have if I was trying to!
I wish i could get a place. 155.00 isnt anything really. I get the lowest and my rent is 750. For 1 room. And he eats my food.. it was days for not having enough to eat and i worked without a hip. With over 50 staples in my hip and i was so sick i would have died if i would have waited. I was cleaning horse stalls for me i had to or not eat. You waiting on help from government. Well you will end up as a skeleton with a fork. Lol Take care and i pray we all get relief
when are yall going to wake up and realiz that the seniors needs help more than anybody else when are they going to get a big stimulus check and not on there ss check so the goverment can take it from them
The rebate checks they’re coming out for people that are working it’s not fair for people are social security disability and people that make less money like we do we should get at least another 1,400
The checks were issued to help everyone up to a certain income point, then the were cut off. They were issued due to the pandemic which didn’t discriminate between those on Social Security, those on SSI, SSDI, or any type of assistance.
Many able bodied people unexpectedly lost their jobs, and can no lon g provide for their children let along themselves and try to keep their home. God forbid they or one of their children get sick now that they no longer have insurance. They don’t have a disability and do not meet any requirements for SSDI ir SSI.
I know being on SSI snd or SSDI is hard sometimes and money is tight. But everyone in here knows their checks will contine to come and they have insurance to cover their medical expenses.
I’ve been on SSI a long time and know how hard it can be. To someone who is happy and able to work and suddenly loses their income, they aren’t guaranteed a monthly check. They no longer have insurance so one sick child or an accident and their savings is gone and still no monthly check to count on. They are about to lose everything but do not qualify for and program’s. So yes it’s hard on SSI and SSDI but that check comes every month. I wouldn’t hesitate to give my Stimulus check to a family in the situation I just mentioned. I would do it it in a second. Why? Because you should help people if yo u can. And befre someone says theythey need that money. Remember, you’re getting another check this next month. They aren’t. I consider myself fortunate and lucky I’ve been able to get SSI and Social Security. Those who are about to lose everything won’t get it, and there’s nothing they can do but watch everything they worked for slowly disappear. Enjoy what you have. Be thankful for what you get, because in day it may be gone with the stroke of a pen.
Just a quick note, have any of those on SSI looked into seeing if you also qualify for Federal SSI as well. Some people do and don’t know it. And if they find out they do, they probably did from the day they got their State SSI snd get back pay from they day they were put on State SSI. In some cases ir 25-30 year’s of back pay or more. Just thought I’d mention that.A lot of people assume their SSI checks are from the Federal government. Some may be bur the majority are issued but your state H encourage you to look into it. Ir may be exactly what you need and provide a safety net if you also get a substantial amount of back pay.
First and I feel important to remind our State and Federal employees is that I paid my TAXES faithfully for more than 40 years. I did not look for loopholes or create fake news to get out of paying my fair share. I believe it is our Civic duty just as we enjoy the rights and freedoms afforded here in the USA. I made some bad decisions in my 50’s and am now living on just my SSA. That’s right mine not the feds. The feds used the SSA funds in the 70’s and 80’s promising to “pay it back”. I call that free money as they used to shore up their irresponsible spending. So I too take offense to the key statements the government is touting. Such as, free money to us or a huge COLA raise when we have received none or very miniscule amount since the mid 80’s. I am grateful for the help given to families and students. However, has anyone studied the backgrounds and financial standing of the Parents of the loan heavy students. Wages are higher now, but the machine seemed to be chugging along with minimal hiccups. I wish my family of 5 made more than 100k a year. But the truth be told we were making it. Sure we didn’t go on expensive vacations, but had fun and truly enjoyed the time we spent, where ever we went. We did not want for much, we bought our kids used cars, paid for all the insurance, tuition, and helped all we could. Nope, no private schools. The way the fat cats word it their kids must have, I never hear them say they have nots in their world. My kids new and accepted “no” if they wanted something they worked for pay to achieve their goals. My kids turned out great. Minor scrapes and bruises along the way. We seniors are being set up as scapegoats. We are going to fail and die early due to the greedy, scheming, liars we pay to help us in our time of need. It’s our money not yours. Get off the hill and go shovel some crap like we the lower middle class are having to swallow. I’m done for now.
lts time that we stand as seniors and fight whats rightfull ours and not voteing there is nothing getting done for us. they even think about us and they sure dont think about the windows and widowers there kids sure dont take care them
Amen we need help too that get social security and ssi
Preach that truth. Yes!
Moderation? Here it is.
My twins were on SSI to find out the medication given to them since they were 6 months old was a fake diagnosis during Covid lockdown told to me by the local pharmacist. I left with no prescription and a face full of tears. I was studying to be a lawyer and had about a year and 1/2 to get to take my LSAT and apply for law school. My twins are now living normal lives as good students, meds. free and athletes at the high school. After I found out about the big lie I challenged it with letters to the government. I was then told my lease in the U.S. was banned for 10 years, putting my children’s bed in storage. We went to stay with my parents. I took my children out of public school and home schooled them with my 1,600 book personal library and read medical and nutrition books to recover their cognitive development. While on the fake diagnosis was give seizure meds that triggered 13-14 strands of seizures in them, asthma, adhd and neurological problems that included learning issues. One twin had 2 strokes with temporary paralysis with seizure on his right side, seizures that disabled his legs … the other twin asthma, several cardiac arrest before the age of 3 and they are now 16. One runs track and other plays varsity football after 3 years off the fake meds. I have a full medical library and compared all the avoidable medical mistakes of the doctors lies. I cleaned out their health pertaining to the medical journals recommendations, and for 1 year taught them 14 subjects from biotech, law, chemistry, geometry, biology and more (10th grade)… enough to reposition them out of the disability courses. They are excellent students now in public high school as 11th graders. What was done to them was cruel and not very compassionate. There were many times I had to blow air into my infants, toddlers and the teenagers body to bring them back to life. The lie did not end there… I have 4 children, 2 are adults finished and finishing college. SS made up 2 profiles under my name… although I have been legal in the U.S. 42 years made up an illegal immigrant profile with no social, nor work history under one and placed my United States born children under it as well, and the other my real SS and full name with no children under it and all my work history from 1989 and legal status since 1980. I have always paid my taxes and am a designer & Artist with real previous income. They made up a very cruel lie that cost my family everything.
So sorry to read such a comment . That’s horrible I would almost believe a lot of medications are fake ! What a Game !
I feel you you (and for you) I hope everyone reads your words of All TRUTH,Jay. Be well x l hope 23′ is Great for YOU ✅
Nothing but the truth!
I think that people who are on SS and SSI should get help because every time we get a increase on SS the money don’t go to help us we have to give it to Medicare. We don’t have enough money to make it to we get our next check because the cost of living continue to climb. I don’t see how the cost of living increases money we get help us if Medicare gets it. If you get $1500 and you pay rent and utilities, what do you have left for food or personal items. It’s hard to live off that little money when you are not able to get a job to help out until your next SS or SSI. Low income people need help just like people who have kids. We are the one that is hurting. Do any one care about us. All you people that is not old or disabled right now, don’t know how hard it is for us. One day you will be were we are, think about that. Please make a difference, help us.
I agree 100% I live off my SSI and only get 812.00 for the month and get food stamps but they took 114.00 away when I got a 44.00 increase I can’t afford that because after all my bills are paid I have maybe 50.00 for the rest of the month to live on that’s bull. I think we need another few stimulus checks too
my SSI is 1019 and they dropped my food stamps to 20 dollars and I have less than 50 dollars for rest of month I live in Kentucky please help us not other countries
My mom is 92 and they dropped her to 20 it’s down right disgraceful
l will agree and its takeing away from us or our rent goes up our rent should stay like it is or go down espicialy in goverment houseing and senior citisens houseing. ss goes up rent goes and we still have to give it back to the goverment. we have all ready paid our dues
I agree they are TAKING it, our rent does go up in public HOUSING and food stamps go down.
Will I receive money 4th stimulus money in December 2022 by direct deposit
Amen to that!!!!
I don’t understand how the Goverment can spend all the money they do for Imigrants and completly keep them and have such a hard time helping Americans?
they take money from us
100%agree its ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING AND ALL AMERICANS, disabled or not need to band together and luck the thieves out of Washington as well as most state offices. It’s OUR MONEY AND OUR COUNTRY! THEY are the ones on benifits and assistance they do very little work and steal a ton of money!
Grandparents that have custody of grandchildren an mom filed them on her taxes before we did so she gets all stimulus monies. She doesn’t pay child support. Will she get the monthly checks starting in July 2021 for the 3 we have custody of?
she shouldnt get nothing it should go straight to you
A 4th stimulus check? Are you kidding me! Of course the 2 dumbest Senators are pushing for more free money too give out not even a thought of the future taxes they want too pay for it all!! Your grandkids are going to be paying for it.
you must not need it you must be filthy rich
I have a job. And work for a living.
We all work for a living…. And I still can’t make ends meet! So you must have a lot of money that you don’t give two craps about other ppl in this world but I do! I want to have your job then!
A lot of has already worked for our SSI and who are you to judge us like we are just getting a hand out when I paid my federal and state taxes I’ve earned mine I worked for a living when I was younger. You people who judge us on Social Security are probably greety as hell well I’m not going to judge like you I just hope one day you can’t work and lose everything you have in a wild fire and then let’s see you be uppity up like you are because you sound like you think because you can work your better then us not to mention I was born with a rare genetic skin desease called Epidermalysis Bollosa the most painfullest in the world today and I didn’t ask for this and I still got out and worked when I was younger. I even tryed to join the army when I was 18 passed the written I failed the physical. I bet you never even tryed to serve your country you probably had a silver spoon in your mouth. Thank you for your snobby attitude.
I’m a little confused as to what to do. I filed for unemployment last year in JUNE, I was able to certify for one week (3/13/21) and now my balance is at zero. When I log into my account, the homepage says I have “received all benefits payable to you at this time. You cannot file another California Unemployment Insurance claim until your current benefit year ends.” Do I need to reopen my claim? Should I wait? Do I contact EDD?
If my dependents were wrong on my 2019 tax return and the govt uses that return for the 3rd round stimulus, will I have to wait until Tax season 2022 to get amount owed or will there be a way to get it before 2022?
so if you dont qualify for the 3rd check based on 2019 and 2020 because income just over the limit but would qualify for 2021, would i be able to get the 1,400 on my 2021 tax year return
Get it and donate it to St. Jude children’s hospital
Am I the only one bothered by the title of this article? What do you mean Andy, by saying, “Free Government Money”? There’s not a GOD DAMN thing free about the stimulus.
You are correct. Nothing is free with the new person in office. But everyone is happy with the free money. We are going to too pay for it later in higher taxes.
Poor Bobby unless you’re wealthy I wouldn’t worry about the taxes people have to pay taxes for the things that we enjoy in life it’s the rich that need to pay their fair share get your story right Bobby you’re retarded you ain’t got no sense if you can’t even finish it,big business and corps. Made record profits during covid if you don’t get it ,maybe your the problem da’ da’ da’ da’ da’ da’
Dude this is America either sit on your ass and wait for it or get off your ass and get after it! Nothing I own was free, I earned it with my own 2 hands!
Yep, just like what Milton Friedman said: “There is no such thing as a free lunch, someone gonna pay it within a form of taxes or inflation”
I owe child support. But I got custody of my kids in October. I have been injured from work for the last few years. They took my first stimulus, which im ok with. But I got my second. The problem is my ex got stimulus for kids she didn’t have custody of on the second and when I called to report it they said ” sorry, there is nothing we can do. ” even tho I have paperwork showing Ive had the kids. How can I get the stimulus money owed to me to take care of my 3 children. And im sure everyone is gonna say they recovery part of the taxes. But if you owe back support they take your taxes.
You would have to take your ex to court to get the money back from her . The IRS can’t do anything about it because the money is already been issued
How can I contact IRS not to mail my stimulus check? The first $1,200 was deposited to my bank account. This second one, the $600 was mailed to my home address which is outside the US where I currently live. Now it will take months before I get it. There is also a high chance it can be stolen and encash by thieves. I wonder why did they mail it.
you cannot contact IRS to change mailing address…you will have to claim it in your return (and hope no one deposits the check they sent you).
Please advise as there are two different answers on the Get my Payment page, we do owe 2019 taxes not much but we are making arrangements for payments. And one question stated that if we owe taxes we will still get the funds, however the other question says if the GMP Shows “Payment Status #2 – Not Available,” then you will not receive a second Economic Impact Payment and instead you need to claim the Recovery Rebate Credit on your 2020 Tax Return. Our status is showing “Payment Status #2” so does that mean because we owe 2019 taxes we won’t receive the second check?
I had the same message on the irs website and received our stimulus check in the mail today
I have lived at the same address for 3 years. I am on social security. I got married 8/1/20 and changed my name at my bank and with social security. I filed i come tax for 2018, but not 2019 because I didn’t have enough income. When will I get a check?
Yes, you should get a payment or check mailed to you based on your SSI information. See this article for Social security recipients and stimulus payments – https://savingtoinvest.com/veterans-retirees-disability-to-automatically-get-stimulus-checks-status-and-eligibility/
I have always worked, never had any assistance! Even when my hours were cut and I was WRONGFULLY denied PUA, I still worked at 1/3 of what I usually make because that is what workers do! Now, the second stimulus has been sent to the wrong bank account, yet my bank account information has not changed for 5 years, I have been getting my federal refund, no matter how small to the same bank account for 5 years! These mistakes only happen to the ones that are literally suffering directly due to pandemic. I am so over this whole system, this is why I have never and will never depend on these people in the government!
what if I wasn’t required to file a 2019 return due to not meeting the threshold of income. for the first stimulus they used my orevious file 2018 return instead. I’m told they will do the same again with the second stimulus, is this true? Richard
Spoken like a true Deadbeat!
Hi Andy. I appreciate your website and all you do to keep people informed. I’ve posted here a few times on lwa to give some peace of mind when people were in a panic. I am hoping you can help me with my uncertainties. My PUA ran out. $0 balance. My last payment I received was direct deposit Dec 21st. Will I receive the additional 10 or 11 weeks through march 14, 2021. Last time I got an email. Nothing yet.. Also one more thing if you dont mind. I have been on google to find whatever I could and saw that different from the $600 enhanced relief the new bill is that we need to show proof sending documents for PUA within 90 days. Is this true in the new bill Does this have to be done before any payments are sent I have a condition that is severe with the pandemic but I wanted to let your readers know. Will I still continue to get PUA or do I have to reapply. Thanks Andy for any response.
11 weeks from what I am hearing. The DOL will issue final guidelines but I am hearing an extra payment will be made to make up for the lost week (12/26 to 1/1) due to delays in signing the bill. Yes, due to fraud regulations you will ave to show more documents for PUA claims (new claimants have an even higher bar). See this article for more on this – https://savingtoinvest.com/the-first-step-to-receive-pandemic-unemployment-assistance-pua-is-to-apply-and-to-be-denied-for-regular-state-unemployment-benefits/
My friend (who is easily confused, and always asks me for help with such things) does not have to file taxes. She also doesn’t have any of the income that the stimulus check people will use to find her address. But, she did apply for and receive a first round check. Does she need to anything now to receive a second round check?
No. the second check will be automatically paid the same way as the first.
Here’s a kicker for you, the stimulus check that the IRS gave to the child support arrears in Texas. As of December 23, 2020 has never been paid to the custodial parents. Why? They say that it hasn’t been released by the IRS for payment. 30k, in arrears hell cs was only set at the lowest $125. Yes, he owns his own company too. Remarried with now grown children in their 30’s.
this is why Child support isn’t there to help the child despite what anyone says. In states such as Texas child support is a multi billion dollar industry. First of all the State of Texas charges the non custodial parent around 19.25% interest, the reason they do that is for payment entrapment, the non custodial parent will be paying till their child is in their 40s. Heres the kicker your not entitled to all this money, you are only entilted to what is owed to you. Secondly wage garnishment such as federal income tax return and stimulus checks, say theres 6 million people in texas paying child support the actual numbers way higher but just to give you an idea, there withholding all that money in one giant bank account for up to 6 to 9 months they draw interest on that money then they release what’s owed to you. All in all child support is a giant big government scam that hurts everyone involved.
Also i wouldn’t trust this site. several other trusted sites such as washington post and cnet have already stated that the second stimulus check terms have been reworked. long story short the second stimulus check isn’t considered a source of income such as the first one was flagged, according to them the us treasury wont be holding this one back from back child support.
I agree that most government programs are doing more harm than good, even with the noblest intention. But the only thing we can do is try to understand the law and try to use it so we can get what we’re entitled to.
My husband has back child support from way back when he couldn’t work due to medical reasons. Once that passed he has been paying the arrears and current support religiously for many years now. What I don’t think is fair, is that not only does he not get any stimulus money, but I don’t either. I could understand if the arrears is owed and monies are not being received or if the monthly child support payments due are being shorted every month. I could understand then to take someone’s stimulus check, but when that person is paying and paying the FULL amount owed including the arrears every paycheck, I feel they should still be able to receive their own stimulus or at least give the spouse without child support owed their own portion of the stimulus ($1200.00). I feel like they are punishing the whole household…I have children too who live with us and are currently in college. That money would have really helped our situation.
Any nonfilers get their dependents money this time around all at once?
I need money
NOW HEAR THIS!! My ex got his check intercepted for arrears in child support. Our case is 26+ yrs old. I can remember going to work with hardly enough $$ for gas because i paid daycare for two children plus our household bills and so forth. I can remember calling my ex and begging him for $$ for diapers and food. He would always say “Yeah get off my back. Im workin on it!!” But i would hang the phone up and look at my boys and i couldnt tell them – “get off my back” when their lil bellies were empty or they needed diapers. And i couldnt tell Daycare that either! No, folks! I took care of my boys bc i love them. We didnt have alot, but God provided and I worked. Do i feel sorry for you that are getting your checks taken from you now?? Heck no!! Grow up and face the facts. If u took care of ur children when they needed you the most, then you would be taken care of now.!!
Yet all the welfare mamas get a welfare check, their own stimulus check, AND the fathers stimulus check. Yeah, really fair for every situation. Try not to lump everyone into the same category as your miserable ex because not every situation is the same. M’kay? Thanks. Bye.
I think you are the one lumping people into a category with your “welfare mamas comment. Have a little compassion. I work with the homeless, poverty stricken people every day. You think it’s ok for a father to disappear and not help. Come out of your box of judgment
Maybe all the so called “Welfare Mama’s”, wouldn’t need any welfare assistance, if all the DEADBEAT DAD’S, would be responsible and contribute to their children’s financial needs, then all the “Welfare Mama’s” could just be, Mama’s! Further more, if your wages, and or your stimulus/income tax refunds are intercepted and used to repay money owed for child support arrears, it’s because you are or were a DEADBEAT PARENT! Grow up, stop blaming your ex, and take responsibility for your choices!
This is a bit biased. My husband was left off his sons birth certificate and still paid her 30,000 over a 4 yr span faithfully. Have the checks to prove it. She then started not allowing him to see his son because she felt she owned his child and didn’t have to allow him to but still wanted his money. He filed in court for paternity and rights and even with all the proof in checks he paid her faithfully, she stuffed him with nearly $17,000 in 2 yrs of back pay! And once it was ordered she had the state take the case and theyve taken everything this year from us. Our entire return, our 3900 stimulus from March, he also pays 100 a month on top of his current child support for arrears, and now we won’t see this 2nd stimulus. That seems totally fair right? We have 3 other kids and we are scraping by. Meanwhile, shes marrying a millionaire, just bought a 600k house, new car, has everything you can possibly imagine and is getting married in Scotland! Yet we cant even take a vacation because we cant afford it. Not all fathers are deadbeats. Some bitter baby mamas just wanted kids for the pay checks and want to play keep away because they feel entitled. Get off your high horse. Stop grouping all cases as deadbeats.
Blah blah blah. There are people out there that worked just to pay child support then corona hit and made it to where the majority of people lost their jobs therefore putting them back on child support. Its not my fault i lost my job due to corona and have no other way to pay child support. And just because i owe back chikd support doesn’t mean im a shitty parent it just means me and the mother didnt work out. Nothing on my parenting skilss or my relationship with my children. So for some people we had our taxes garnished our 1st stimulus garnished and now the second check will be able to be taken also. Now im a republican by heart but come on not all of us have republican money. Its complete bullshit. I feel that there should be an uproar over this matter. If noone says shit about it then nothing will happen. Again just becauee me and my childrens mother didn’t work out doesnt mean that I should have to suffer like this. Everyone should get the checks. If people who owe back child support dont get it then neither should black people because their money should go towards all the damages they caused to businesses. Everyone should get this because we are all suffering. #MAGA? Or #MakeAmericaGreedyAgain
My ex owes me $14,000 and is doing just fine. But I agree that father. (Or mothers) that got behind because of COVID-19 shouldn’t loose their checks. It just puts them more behind and harder to catch up
I totally agree with you, DYLAN JONES! Just because you and your ex didn’t work out, doesn’t mean you’re a bad father or that you should suffer financially. The fact that you believe paying child support is a punishment meant to make you suffer IS what makes you a Narcissist and a BAD FATHER!
Thank you for your comments, I agree with you 100%!
Not always and I’m here to tell you that I took care of my kids I raised my kids on my own I did everything
I think it’s pretty messed up that I won’t get another stimulus check cause of child support I pay it every week ai guess were not supposed to get no kind of relief especially since they didn’t even let me know I owed child support until it was over a couple thousand dollars and I even let all them know were I worked and even filed taxes and they never garnished my checks the people running this country are a bunch of aholes
Are you joking? You knew you had a child I’m assuming, therefore no one should have had to chase you down to make you pay your share of the financial support for that child you brought into the world. Your angry bc you think someone should have to track you down to tell you your financial obligation to your child is t being met by you and won’t be unless your forced to do so. Please think about how messed up that is, had you been paying your share of child support without making someone have to garnish it from your pay check and chase you down for it, you wouldn’t have that problem and you’d get a stimulus check too, but since you didn’t you won’t. I’m not usually one to judge, but damn.
Same here I pay on child support every week and my stimulus checks are getting taken the first one and now the second one beautiful huh
If you have children that you don’t live with…why should anyone HAVE to tell you that you should be paying child support..You should automatically be making sure your kids are getting it…
If your address was current with Family Support Registry they do send a notice once a month
same i didnt know i owed either i started having money deducted from my unemployment and thats how i found out and then i received a statement saying i owed 985 in arrears complete bs when they sent me a letter warning my my next stimulus will be intercepted it was long before we even knew we were getting one they were perparing for it fuck my life
Yeah it seems like parents behind on support will get it this time. Correct me if I’m wrong.
I heard you would get it this time!! I saw it on the internet!!!
Really ? I’ve seen multiple mixed things.
Thank you Amanda. I was starting to feel bad about myself and I worked most of my life.
How do I get ahold of a live advisor for Ga Department of Labor?? I still haven’t received my first Pua payment
I’m in the same boat! Same state! My claim is from 04/26/2020
I file my taxes as “married, filing separate.” But both of our SS numbers have to be on the form. I received the money for myself and our 2 children, but my husband received nothing. No idea why. Anyone have a clue?
I can’t find a live person to find out about my first job filer stimulas check can someone help it doesn’t accept my as number locks me out
If they pass this bill and we get another check enjoy it while it lasts. But remember that the government isn’t going to bail you out of your financial troubles. Things will hopefully get better.
My wife and I have been seperated for more than a year and I am on social security diability. How do I stop her from getting my part of stimulus because she will not let me know if she gets it and she will try to keep it all. I called her about the first stimulus check and she went crazy because I told her that I know the check had been sent and I told the post office to be watch for it, which they did let me know when they did get a letter from IRS and I contacted her and let her know we did get a letter from the IRS and the post office has it and that we both had to go and pick it up. She was really mad because I think she filled her income taxes and put me on it which I should not have been on it because I did not agree nor did I sign for any income tax return jointly or any other tax return for 2019 or 2020 and she should not have included me with her tax return. We did go together and did get the check cashed and I got my half of the stimulus check. My question is, what do I have to do to find out if she did do her taxes jointly which included me with out my signature, because I tried to find out but it ask for her social security number and mine and I do not know hers and she will not tell me so I cannot find out and what do I have to do so if we do get a second stimulus check I will get my seperate from her, so she does not get it all because she will not let me know if she does get it? If it was not for checking and finding out a check was sent and when it was to be sent, I would not had gotten my half if I had not gotten a hold of the post office because she would have cashed it without me signing it.
Contact the IRS and tell them of the suspected fraud. Let them know you never authorized a tax return. Next, start filing an information only tax return EACH year. If she has already filed, you will not be able to finish filing because your social security number will already have been used. At this point, notify the IRS of the fraud. If she hasn’t filed yet she won’t be able to use your social security number because you already used it.
Sir you just answered your own question right there if she had not done her taxes jointly With your name on it there should’ve been no reason at all why are you the two of you had gotten a joint check. And with you being on Social Security she probably has her self down as your payee which means you also need to get a hold of Social Security. The best thing to do if you need to and I know this is the legal way of doing this is put out a newspaper article it can be one in a small town but it Hass to be something printed in a public paper I know this for fact my dad this years ago and it’s still the same rules today but you have to say that you are not financially responsible or involved with your ex blah blah blah blah blah whatever their name is. No matter how long it takes me to get on the phone and you need to make sure that it is known with Social Security administration S essay that you have no involvement and nothing to do with your wife if you have to do your best to try to set up an appointment there are plenty of disability lawyers that you can actually find onYouTube that are really good and in plenty of them that will actually give you consultation for free. Contact the IRS I personally weird in every foreign way I could over the phone leave the messages make sure you leave them your phone number don’t leave them any information just your phone number say that you have information on fraudulent tax reporting I don’t know exactly what the words to say but I would just put it as simple as I could I know somebody that is stealing IRS federal tax money is how I would put it please contact me soon as possible send written proof and notice of copies of your divorce papers take it to small claims court at your local courthouse I live Dave got regular court and then they have cut them small claims court which is basically for like where the quart room you go to to see somebody or if I A collector was trying to get money from you but anyways if you are a vet and you have a money get a hold of VA now there is a stipulation about exes being able to actually still receive benefits because my mom but that should not affect you because my dad after they were divorced had nothing to do with her but like you said the post office and if need be if you have to go that far they could get the video from the post office showing that the two of you had picked it up or you can get proof from the post office that the two of you had to pick it up or sign for it however that was done but SSDI recipients were the first people to receive checks not checks but the money and it should’ve been automatically deposited to where ever your money is sent to you i.e. your banks are your direct express card I get SSI and I had to fill out the non-filer‘s form which was not hard at all it took a couple minutes and I have PayPal (FYI anyone who doesn’t know you can go onto your PayPal app or your PayPal website and there is an actual routing number and banking number that you need to actually have that sent to your PayPal and PayPal took no money out of it as long as you have PayPal cash card which also I had lost my card along time ago I never never never actually used it and actually it was very very convenient I could actually get money no more than just a couple days if you can go as far to leave this message then you are more than capable to be able to use the services it is not that hard and plastering as it seems I actually sincerely understand all of this may be frustrating to you especially with this being your ex and as manipulative as a narcissistic person can be and if you do not know what that is please look it up what a narcissist is because that is exactly what your egg sounds like and when you find out it will help you with your process fully recovering from that kind of manipulation and I personally do believe that you are truly a victim Narcissistic abuse
My question is::
For the first stimulus check my husband (which receives benefits from the VA due to being a disabled Vet) he went online and did the non-filers form to add me and my two children(his stepchildren) and put in our joint bank account info. We received what we was suppose to.. My question is I am filing for a divorce,so if they pass a second stimulus package will they go off of what was put in the last time on the non-filers? He will not be residing in the same resident as myself and my children or could I go and do the non-filers for me and my children if they pass it? He will be updating his direct deposit info when he moves to a different bank for his regular payments(which he wi have to remove me and my children off his benefits with the VA once we file for divorce..or will I be able to go and do the non-filers for just me and my children with just my bank account?? It will take a couple months before the divorce would be final. How will that work?? Thanks
WOW…. how awesome of you to be divorcing and taking the children of a disabled Vet. Hope you can sleep at night knowing you are screwing over someone that served this great country we live in. when you got married did you say I DO when asked if you take your husband in sickness health richer poorer etc? And now here you are all worried about free money from the government that you do not deserve…… Nicely done. You seem like a real gem….. you know, ruining your childrens lives and all.
She said they were his STEPCHILDREN….her OWN 2 kids. She’s not taking HIS kids away from him…Maybe you should learn to comprehend what you read before throwing stones.
what if that disabled vet is a total nutcase or is abusive? she even said they are his STEPKIDS so who do you think you are to put some woman down for getting a divorce? even if they were HIS kids she is entitled to happiness, and if that means leaving someone no matter the situation so be it. who are you to berate a total stranger for divorcing someone? should this woman be forced to live a miserable life, possibly being abused or neglected, just because the guy is a disabled vet? stfu she has a legitimate question about her money. you are just one of THOSE people that like to leave some negative comment and feel all superior to others. yeah, WE ALL are ready for that free government money. we ALL deserve it. you shouldnt have said any dam thing, larry sanders. keep your stupid sht to yourself. if you didnt have an answer to this womans question, why tf are you talking to her about her life and business?
Do you have any idea of her story? I’m sure there’s a lot more to it than “divorcing a disabled vet and taking his kids! How judgmental, rude and harsh you are! Hypothetically, he could beat her and the kids, PTSD from the military but won’t get help. If that were the case should she still stick around??? That would hurt the kids worse. Try to not judge without knowing her situation
